There are a number of scenarios where using the eggs from a donor can help you experience pregnancy and the joys of a baby.
Donor eggs can be a possible option for you if you're a woman with the following fertility challenges:
- Your eggs are low in number or quality
- You are older
- You've tried IVF and not succeeded with your own eggs

Your egg donor will go through an IVF cycle, and all eggs collected will be inseminated with your partner's sperm.

The best type of donor is a younger sister. Egg donors in Australia can't be paid to donate eggs, but you cover all expenses for the donor. Donated eggs are more readily available overseas, as in some countries, donors can charge for the eggs they donate.
